Derby Projects Awarded for Contribution to Enhance City Centre Conservation Setting

Bauman Lyons are delighted to have been recognised at Derby’s George Rennie Awards for two recently completed projects in Derby city centre.

Sadler Bridge Studios was completed and opened in Summer 2014, and received the Best New Build Award. The building is the first phase of the Sadler Square Masterplan to regenerate a disused former supermarket site in the Cathedral Quarter, and provides 36 office units for small and medium size businesses in the digital and hi-tech sectors.

Work undertaken to The Silk Mill Museum, for Derby Museums Trust, was Highly Commended. This was the first phase of refurbishment and re-visioning of the museum – part of the Re:Make programme; an ambition to reinvent the Silk Mill as a place to inspire a new generation of Makers.
