Viability Plan approved for FUSE Art Space in Bradford

Great news that FUSE Art Space have had their viability plan successfully approved by The Architectural Heritage Fund. We had the pleasure of working with FUSE earlier this year, supporting them on this feasibility study. The brief was to explore the potential to transform a set of existing buildings in the City Centre conservation area in the commercial core of Bradford. The concept proposals reimagine the buildings as a new multi-use arts hub and home for FUSE, creating an active street frontage and containing a variety of uses stitched together with a bright, new central circulation atrium.

Client’s thoughts
‘This concept design is the culmination of much research, consultation, and most importantly conversations with hundreds of Bradfordians, artists, audience members and curious passers-by.

‘These conversations shaped the brief and we were delighted that Bauman Lyons took it and ran with it. What we asked for was, welcoming-to-all, not fussy, ‘reet for Bradford, and we think you’ll agree it’s what we’ve got here.

‘Now that our viability study has been enthusiastically endorsed by The Architectural Heritage Fund, we look forward to developing this brief further with Bauman Lyons.’
