The Salvation Army Housing Association has redeveloped its Gilead House site in Bolton. The old building was considered too large and institutional and was very outdated. A new smaller 36 bed community has been developed which provides a comfortable and uplifting temporary home for its transient residents. The building has been positioned to reduce overheating and maximise views out over the newly formed garden whilst allowing the site to be phased to ensure that the provision of accommodation continued during construction.
