The project was won in a design competition. BLA worked in collaboration with Sound Artists Greyworld and Performance Artists Forced Entertainment to provide 6 landmark bus shelters on a new guided bus route on Manchester Road, Bradford. The design of the shelters aims to address issues of comfort, stimulation and meaning. Shelters are designed to stand out in the landscape. Windchargers provide energy to heat seats. Acoustic panels contain an artist’s colour recognition installation.
